Providence United Methodist Church loves people and helps to change lives through living a life through Christ Jesus. Our church building is located in Patrick Springs, Virginia, near beautiful Bull Mountain in the Appalachians. Our church members are located both here and all over the globe—sharing the love of God wherever they are.

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him...we love because He first loved us. –1 John 4: 9

Pastor Keith Vernon completed his theological education requirements at Duke Divinity School in the Advanced Course of Study Program in 2021. Pastor Keith was ordained as an elder in full connection with the Virginia Conference of The United Methodist Church June 22 2024.  As he begins his fifteen year in pastoral ministry, it is evident that Pastor Keith has a great love for serving God and God's people in the United Methodist Church.

As he describes it, "My passion in life is helping people find the gift of God's grace in Jesus Christ."

He enjoys being outdoors experiencing the gift of God's creation of nature whenever possible particularly through his hobbies of farming, gardening, and golfing. Pastor Keith and his wife, Sara, have six children (four boys and two girls), two daughter-in-laws, and six grandchildren.
